Taking profits in miners
Sold 1000 AUY @ $16 -- 23% return (1500 left)
Sold 100 SLW @ $40 -- 9% return (100 left)
Gold is really overextended, but it might go even higher. Just in case, taking some profits...

Jack be nimble, jack be quick
The miners are dramatically outperforming the metals today on a relative and absolute basis. I'm taking a shot here for at least a technical bounce (if not more). Bought 100 Silver Wheaton (SLW) @ $37, and 500 Yamana Gold (AUY) @ $12.05

Out of horrible price action stocks
Silver Wheaton (SLW) and Patriot Coal (PCX) price action recently has been terrible, despite the parabolic rise in Silver and the moderate rise in met coal. Sold them for a 28.5% gain and 15% loss, respectively. SLW had reached my earlier $45 price target.

Long live yellow
Out of my gold shorts for a 4.3% loss. My gold miners more than made up for it. Next target $1450.
Sold Verizon for $32.40, a handsome 27% total return. I'll buy back VZ back below $30.
Sold Silver Wheaton (SLW) at $27.20 for a breathtaking 45% return in 2 months!!
Will write some in-the-money puts on SLW in the meantime.

Long (live) commodities
The dollar has broken. As I indicated before, that means commodities are off to the races.
Backup the trucks boys. Gold, Silver, Oil. All the good stuff. Why limit yourself to the physical commodities? The stocks are going bananas too.

I still have many of these in my real accounts, but I just thought it was time to take "paper" off the table.

Out of SLW and AA.. 255% on SLW!
Sold AA at $8.52 (cost was $5.42) (this got called away from me at that price)
Sold SLW at $8.65 (cost was $3.4) (It closed right below my call strike, but I sold it anyway)
255% gain on Silver Wheaton in just a few months and it was a pretty large position. I'm pretty proud of that one.
This is probably my biggest gain in a stock (not an option) in my trading career... it is hard to let something run this far without taking profits, but I am glad I was able to do it. This is the reason I didn't hold onto the stock even though I could have (since we closed below $7.50), I believe I have gotten enough out of this one...
